This didn't start as a business plan

OUR STORY

From a Garage to a Community

2020

In a garage at 4am...

Early Revive It Fitness community group at the Troy IL gym

In 2020, when the world shut down and gyms closed, something felt off.

People still needed movement. They still needed connection. They still needed something to show up for.

So the doors of a home opened instead. A garage turned into a gym. A few people turned into a small group.

Something unexpected started to happen. A community was forming.

2021

We saw something happening...

At first, it was about getting through a strange season. But people kept showing up. And then they brought others with them.

Something real was building. And at a certain point, it became clear. This was bigger than a temporary solution.

So a decision had to be made:
Lean into it…Or let it fade.
We leaned in and moved into our first real building in early 2021.

2023

Every step forward was because of people.

We didn’t grow from chasing trends. It happened by consistently coaching with intention, building real relationships, and creating an environment people actually wanted to come back to. Over the next few years:

More space
More equipment
More programs
More people
And every time it felt like,

“this is enough”…

It wasn’t. Because the community kept growing. So we kept going. In the fall of 2023, we moved into our brand new 4,000 sq ft facility in Troy.

Today, We are more than a gym

We are part of people’s routines.
Part of their friendships.
Part of their lives.

What started in a garage has grown into a community built around strength, longevity, connection, and showing up for each other.

Today, Revive It includes:

Group fitness and personal training options for all levels
• Elevated & specialized workout options for specific goals
Youth and athlete performance programs for growing confidence
• Team training for local organizations
• A protein shake bar offering shakes, smoothies,  overnight oats, and Busy Body Meals

And we’re still growing.

In late 2026, we’ll be expanding from 4,000 square feet to 6,000, not because bigger is better, but because this community deserves room to grow and thrive.

More space.
More opportunity.
More ways to serve the people who have made this place what it is.

Because taking care of people doesn’t stop when the workout ends.

Whether someone comes here for longevity, strength, performance, or simply to feel better in everyday life… there’s a place for them here.

Why this feels

different

There are a lot of gyms you can go to. Places where you walk in, do your workout, and leave without talking to anyone.

That’s not this.

This is a place where people know your name, coaches actually care, & someone notices when you don’t show up. This was never about building a business. It was about building something that mattered. And that’s still what it is.

There’s real work happening here.

Challenging workouts.
Moments that push you.
Moments that connect you.
Because working hard, together, builds something different.

Led with purpose

Daniel and his wife, Dr. Jamie Kennedy, built Revive It around the idea that fitness should help people live stronger, healthier, more connected lives.

Daniel has spent more than 16 years in the fitness world helping people build strength, confidence, and resilience that carries beyond the gym.

As a former collegiate football player, natural professional bodybuilder, and certified personal trainer, he brings both experience and intention to the way Revive It is built.

But more importantly?

He believes fitness should help people live better, longer, stronger lives and create a place where people genuinely want to show up for each other.
